House move in Bushey [ 17 February 2012 ]
Yesterday we did a small removal in the Bushey area going into Watford. it was maily large items such as a display cabinet, sofa and chair, dish washer and tumble drier, two beds and a coupld of sets of drawers and large chests. Being all large items it pretty much filled the whole vehicle, but didn\'t really take that long at either end for the same reason. So in all the whole move only took an hour and a half so coming in at just £75. the rest of the day was spent doing some store deliveries of new beds and sofas. We also assembles a dining set and six chairs from flat pack for a customer.
Deliveries and assemblies [ 3 February 2012 ]
The rest of this week has all been about delivering new furniture, with the occassional assembly of new beds and wardrobes. Another day of delivering around watford and into London tomorrow, fingers crossed we can get everything done before the heavy snow hits.
Store deliveries around Borehamwood and Hemel [ 30 January 2012 ]
Today was another straight delivery day. A few beds and flat packed furnite around the Watford, Hemel, and Borehamwood area. a relatively easy day as flat packed furnite is very easy to get into any property, the onlyh tough part was a heavy 80kg unit over to a second floor flat in Hemel. This took a while due to it\'s weight and the tricky access up the four flights of stairs. Over all an easy day, We are just hoping the snow doesn\'t make it\'s way as far east as us this week or things could get tricky.
Watford deliveries and assembly [ 27 January 2012 ]
Yesterday again we built some furniture. We put together two large wardrobes in one preperty. One was a lage three mirrored door wardrobe with three built in drawers. It was pretty tall at around seven foot, and took around an hour and a hlaf. We then built a nother wardobe in another of their rooms. This again was a large seven foot wardrobe, but this time with two large mirrored sliding doors. This again took around an hour and a half. After this we went on to deliver some new furniture in the Wrford area.
Wardrobe assembly [ 25 January 2012 ]
Yesterday we spent the most of the day on a bedroom wardrobe unit. It came from one of the stores we deliver for and concisted of a large wall wardobe unit that arches over a bed. the in one corner connected to another wardobe that went down the other side of the room.. so a large corner wardobe unit. We had to dismantle the units from display on the shop floor, deliver the items to the customers house in Luton, the re assemble the unit in their room. This took just over five hourse, and the rest of the day was spent delivering new beds for the same store.
Store deliveries around Watford and Hemel [ 23 January 2012 ]
Again another day of delivering new furniture. Exchanging a couple of items too. We also built a couple of new bed frames today for a customer that we delivered the new beds to. For another customer we also took away their old bed. So in all we went through most of the services we provide all in one day.
Deliveries around Hertfordshire [ 22 January 2012 ]
Yesterday we delvered new furniture for some local stores. Most of the work is basic loading up the beds and furniture at the stores and simply putting in into peoples houses. On arival we make sure we take things to the needed room. In some cases some small assembley of the furinture is required, perhaps just un wrapping and putting on casters, maybe linking devan bases together. Sometimes there is a little more work required such as building bed frames, or building wardrobes. These every day jobs are a big help towards getting house removals done as quick and efficiently as possible. as we are well practiced in getting items up tight stair cases, and know what to do when things need to come apart in order to fit.
Removal in Chipperfield [ 20 January 2012 ]
Today we did a removal on a farm in Chipperfield Hemel. this wasn\'t so much of a loading up the truck and moving to another location. But moving items from various places such as the main house, garage and out house, to anther house on the other end of the farm. We work on an hourly rate basis so can help with any job requiring lifting and moving items, as well as dismanteling and re assembling items. as well as of course loading up the removals truck and taking items to wherever they are needed within the UK.
Furniture delivery in and around Hertfordshire [ 16 January 2012 ]
Today was another day of furniture delivery, from beds and sofas to wardrobes. mostly around the Watford area again, but some around Harrow, and further into London in the North London area. We have also done a little work with suite disposal today as some times when delivering new furniture some people need help to get rid of their old beds, sofas etc.
Store deliveries in and around Watford [ 15 January 2012 ]
This week was all about store deliveries in and around Watford. we have been delivering beds and doing some small deliveries and exchanges of furniture for a local furniture store. We have also done some delivering in the Hayes area and up in the Dunstable area. Not much in the way of house removals just yet. But it does usually seem to take a while this close after Christmas.
Removal from London to Hemel [ 11 January 2012 ]
On Saturday we did an office move from London up to Hemel. Saturday is good for london trip as yo get to avoid the congesion charge. It was a whole vehicle of desks metal cabinests and office chairs. It came fom an underground office and all the items came up in a lift. on the Hemel side access was very easy as it all just went into a storage unit at ground level. I n all this more took about 4 hours and came in at £200. Time was however saved here as the gentleman we did the removal for helped a lot on both sides, otherwise there may have been about another hour on top of this.
Removal in Kings Langley [ 11 November 2011 ]
This week we did a removal from Kings Langley to Northwood. we did the whole move in two loads and it took about five hours to complete. There was quite a large ammount to move as it was for a family with three children, so there were a lot of toys and garden items like climbing frames and so on. The house had a lot of antique wardrobes and drawers. there were also two leather sofas, a dining table both in and outside the house, several beds as you would expect, various other bits of furniture like extra futon beds and mattresses, clothing rails and small side tables. Other than the large items there was also a lot of boxes, bags and various other small items. Other than this removal we have been doing the usual store deliveries around watford, Dunstable, Harrow and the Hayes and Ruislip area. In addition to deliveries we have been doing some assembly jobs such as building some large glass sliding dorr wardrobes which we build for around £70. We have also been building flat pack bed frames which we do for around £35.
Flat removal in Hemel [ 8 November 2011 ]
This morning we did a flat removal in Hemel. they were only moving just around the corner just to get into a bigger place, so there really was no time in the drive it was all in the move. we did the move in two loads. In the first load we got all of the boxes and bags and there were quite a lot of them, along with a broken down bed, a broken down wardrobe, chests od drawers, and various other small things. We wanted to leave ourselves with a clear run of just large items for the second run, such as two big sofas, a work station, book shelves, fridge freezer and a couple of other large items. In all the removal only took three and a half hours, this was largely because the lady and gentleman we were moving did a lot to help load and unload the vehicles on both sides, otherwise I would expect the whole removal to have taken at least half an hour longer than it did as we were going from first floor to first floor. We carried on the day by delivering a couple of beds in Watford and down to the Ruislip and Stanmore area.
Removal In watford [ 6 November 2011 ]
Yesterday we did a house removal in Watford. it wa a very short range removal as they were just moving two minutes around the corner. The furniture was just that of a small two bedroom houses worth. There were two leather sofas, a couple of TVs, side boards, chests of drawers, a couple of beds, a large fridge freezer, and various other boxes bags and childrens toys. we took all the main household furniture and items in one load and then went back for the garden furniture, this consisted of bikes, more childrens toys such as a small childrens play house, then a BBQ, and garden dining set, lawnmower cleaning equipment and so on. the guy who we were moving actually gave us a lot of help in loading and un loading the vehicle so the whole move was done in only around two and a half hours. It also ended up that he had a carpet cleaning business and his prices seem very reasonable. So if anybody needed a carpet clean before or after a house move, he can be found at www.allbrightcarpetcleaning.co.uk or contacted directly on 07826 822 473, prices start from £35 for a studio flat.
House Removals in Watford [ 1 November 2011 ]
Today we did a small man and van type removal into Watford. We started off at a small bungalo just outside Saint Albans. This was a very light removal as there were really very few items such as one sofa, one chest of drawers,a couple of other small bits of furniture, and in the region of about twenty or so boxes, bags and plastic containers. this removal took around and hour and a half and came in at £75. the load up was pretty easy and took only about ten minutes, but the house it had to go into had to be accessed through the bottom of the garden, this meant getting all the items through a very small gap followed by a long walk, so the un load took about half an hour. With the drive over this is how the time built up. After this we went on to deliver some furniture for stores in the Dunstable area, then over into the Watford area........ As we move into Winter, some how we are still just doing all this work without the need to work in jackets let alone the three layers we were in for so long last year.. No doubt the cold will hit soon.
Removal from north London to Kings Langley [ 25 October 2011 ]
Today we did a removal from north London to the Oveltine building in Kings Langley. while only being an hours round trip and one full load of the vehicle, this removal was very time consuming and took us 7 hours. It came from a pub in north London, and all the items which were mainly boxes cam from the second floor. As it was a pub and an old building, this also meant a tight staircase which made the job a little harder and more time consuming. Also at the Oveltine building the off load was a lot slower than an average removal as you have to first load items into a lift which work wise would be where an average removal would end, but you then have to empty the items from the lift when you get to the correct floor so as the other residents can use it. then move the items down the coridoor into the flat itself. So in all quite a tiring day and this job came in at £350. we also have a second job booked with this client for later in the week.
Flat removal Hemel Hempstead [ 7 October 2011 ]
Today we did our first house removal into the new sapi graphics sited houses. It came from just around the corner from a second floor flat, going into a town house, and was a removal concisting mainly of wooden furniture. Rangeing from side tables, solid wooden beds, to many sections making up a large wardrobe. we did the whole move in two gently stacked loads and the whole move was done in just three hours coming in at £150. a bit of a turn in the weather today as the warm weather changed to a chill in the air with patches of rain.. I think the average removal is about to get a little harder for the next few months.
Deliveries in and around Watford [ 3 October 2011 ]
Today was an ordinarly and fairly easy day for us. We spent it largely delivering new beds and sofas from shops in Watford. we also assembled a lift up storage bed for a customer, and transported some wooden funiture consisting of a large display cabinest, a side board and coffee table, this was moved from Watford over to Kings Langley and was done for £40. we do smaller jobs like this in between the bigger house removals, prices start at £35 for small quick dliveries that need either not quite as much attention in the van as a glass cabinet, or small quick to move items such as an arm chair for example..
Removal in Berkhamstead [ 29 September 2011 ]
Today we did a removal from a fourth floor flat in Berkhamstead. The gentleman at the property helped out through the whole move to speed things up, so dispite having to walk up and down the stairs to get to the third floor the whole removal only took three hours from start to finish. This was just over a whole vans worth as there were a coupl of items such as bikes and dining chairs that we felt would have been safer on a second load, as the drop off address was only five minutes around the corner. A day that would have been made much easier if it was not for the 26 degree heat wave. Still, the no doubt inevitable up coming snow will make things harder still. So the heat can be lived with.
Man and van services [ 11 September 2011 ]
It has been a busy week. From delivering new beds and sofa sets from stores in and around Watford, Hemel, Harrow and then up to the Luton and Dunstable area., to building large sliding glass door wardrobes. We have also had a couple of man and van service type jobs. A vehicle full of boxes for example, A vehicle full of old beds and a stripped out bath bound for the dump.
Every day jobs [ 26 August 2011 ]
When we are not doing house removals, we fill our spare time with shop deliveries such as beds, sofas, wardrobes and so on. Today for example in addition to our usual store deliveries. We have also assembled a bed frame for one of our customers. This was a wooden bed frame from one of the shops we deliver for and took us about half an hour to assemble. this bed was £35 for us to assemble, which is the usual price for this and similar items, although prices can vary depending on distance and difficulty of the assembly.
